Ronald “Keith” Winstead, age 46 of Southport died Monday, May 21, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Winstead was born November 1, 1966 in Lancaster, Kentucky, son of Ronald Gaines Winstead and Mary Sue Durham Mitchell. He was an avid fisherman, loved God and loved to worship God through music. Mr. Winstead also had a passion for helping and mentoring others. He ran the family painting business for over 25 years.
Survivors include his father Ronald G. Winstead of Berea, Kentucky; mother Mary Sue Mitchell and step-father Richard of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; wife Debbie Winstead of Southport; three sons Ryan Winstead and wife Katie of Blaine, Minnesota, Joel Winstead and wife Kim of Southport, and Jeffrey Winstead of Southport; Justin Sternberg and Peter Stauffer who were like sons; sister Marsha Crouson and husband Daniel of Southport, one half sister Catherine Denice Davis of Louisville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Isabella Winstead and Everett Winstead; six nieces; one nephew; and numerous other friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Generations Church in Southport.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
