8 years. You know… One thing life has for sure taught me is that you are never promised tomorrow. Dont let the hard conversations, the forgiveness, the pain and gunk that clogs our hearts stop us from loving fully, deeply, and real with those around us.
You are so deeply missed and loved. Im just so greatful I was able to get to know you. I miss our funny phone convos, heart to hearts, and hearing you sing while I worked the most. I promise i am still trying to live the dream and keep it where the light is ☀️

Every. Single. Day. That’s how much I think about you brother. The impact you made to my life, marriage, boldness for the Gospel will live forever. I love you still, I miss you more and more each day. If I think about you too much, I start to tear up. But I think about you anyway, tears be danged. I pray to love people like you did. I doubt you see this post, but maybe you can feel my heart in the body of Christ saying “thank you”. I hope that yours is one of the first faces I see when my race ends here on earth.

Quote

My adult life began in a shroud of grief. In true 18 year old fashion, I ran from it. I thought, if I separated myself from everything I knew and loved, it would somehow protect me from feeling the depths of sorrow. Well into my 20s and on my way to my 30s, I know that the body keeps score. It keeps score of grief and trauma. It keeps score and manifests in the most intense ways. When I finally stopped running from my grief, I realized that I was not alone in my grief and that everyone grieves in different ways. This picture proves it. Every. Single. Person. in this picture grieved today. They grieve every day. They grieved the past, present, and future. They grieved the known and unknown. The beauty of this photo is while it shows unity in grief. It also shows unity in life. We are all tied together in this beautiful dichotomy of loss and life that just keeps moving. Thankful these are the warriors I get to not be okay with and fight the good fight with. Good Lord, I miss him.

Today has been long and I started the day with the what if’s and followed by waves of sadness that hit through the day. But I’ve also seen growth and love from seeds planted by my brother and seeds that were planted from those people. It’s amazing how God scoops us up and reminds us that he has got us and we will be okay. That no matter how much I miss him, I will see him again, and that my friend is what gets you through the day ! ❤️

“My dear friend, when grief presses you to the dust, worship there!” – Charles Spurgeon

Grief never goes away. It may ebb & flow……but it is always there…to remind you of what you’ve lost – who you’ve lost. It can be overwhelming at times. It can be oddly comforting at other times. It can flood your mind with precious memories or fill your eyes with tears with no warning.

Grief can fill your nights with sorrow…..leave you longing for a better place.

Grief is the cost of love. And if the love was deep, the grief will be as well. 🖤

Dear Debbie& Marsha ~ I wish I knew what to say to comfort each of you right now in your pain, truly. I wish I could hear Keith play those drums one more time; he was awesome. Even now, so many songs remind me of Keith, like “Greater things are yet to come… in this City”, and that morning they played The Kings of Leon – I was sure they were gonna be in big touble over that one, but I loved it! Best of all, was the Christmas they played that Russian Christmas Orchestra song, they rocked. I loved those little chimes he played too. He was such a good speaker, and I confess I liked him better than Pastor Troy, when I first came to Generations. I miss Keith, and I know you do too. Such a loss. My heart aches for you – I love you both. ~ Staci

The first time we attended Generations Church Keith was speaking. His testimony was so powerful and real and raw and it was always a treat to hear him preach. He really had a gift for reaching others esp. those who shared a common background. I hope he knew what a blessing he was to others. Our prayers are with you all.

Debbie,
Our thoughts and prayer go out to you and your family. Both you and Keith had such an amazing impact on our lives! Keith’s guidance through the Lord helped save our marriage. Rob has many great cherished memories of fishing with Keith. He helped me through council to get throughg many dark days. He once told me that the thing i was thinking about that I wasn’t telling him was the the exact thing was holding me back. What words of wisdom! Rob and I are happily married and madly in love today. With out Keith’s “push”, both of us would be living separate lives. Praise the Lord! Keith will be used continually here on earth doing miraculous works for the Lord, even after his passing! You and you family are in our prayers, and are much loved. Your a remarkable women Debbie. The lord will carry you and your family though this.

Uncle Keith

Love
such a tricky subject
Loving someone is so hard to forget
What’s greater than a family’s love?
Only the love that sits high above
the love you shared with so many others
Was what taught us to treat everyone like brothers
Even though now you are gone, we still aren’t alone
We are simply waiting for the day we all go home
and even though you’re there, and I’m still here
your love for us remains stronger than any of our fears.
You meant more to me than words could express
I knew you, and for that I’m truly blessed
Thank you for all the lives you helped change
You’re love had such a wide range
Sitting here with tears streaming down my face
I’m thankful for the time you got to spend in this place
You will always be uncle k
Because an uncle’s love, is here to stay

Quote

Though these last few years we haven’t been too close, our friendship and relationship with Keith and Debbie goes back quite a few years ago. Although I always liked to think it was a mutually beneficial relationship, it was hardly that. Keith’s altruistic approach to life and Debbie’s congenial temperament pretty much made friendship with them an honored and privileged situation to be in.
Those times spent together up at the farm in Rush City are and will always be cherished, along with all the other times we were able to spend together in work and play.
Although it may seem to be somewhat indifferent and impassive at this time, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for all you did to help us and so many others. I hope you know that I was truly grateful for all that you gave and did, and that if I lacked expression of gratefulness, it was surely not in contempt.

I pray God will give comfort and peace in the time to come.
For He is our Comforter.

Friend… Mentor… Brother… Though we were only together a short while, you welcomed me in… pushed me to grow… dared me to take chances… push beyond the boundaries of the box I was so comfortable with… to ignore the limit of what I thought I was capable of & instead embrace what He’s capable of through me… and through it all, you encouraged me… You spoke words of truth over me that were so powerful, I stopped to write them down… literally WRITE THEM DOWN, so they could encourage me for years to come… and they have!… THANK YOU!… You are missed here! But I’m looking forward to the reunion tour!…

I am unsure of what words can describe how I have felt this day, but the only thing that I know to do is praise God for how He loves us. In the saddest of times, a brother has gone to be where we all look forward to arriving, and I am thankful for the opportunity to know, to serve, and to minister with him. Keith, I miss you now, but when you next see me, I will be looking through the ‘hole in the wall’ that will bring me into an eternity worshiping the Father with you. I love you…

To a man who help shape my life and believed in me when I was at my lowest, Love you Keith. I will miss you but I know Ill get to hug you one day when I finally get to heaven….
Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
